Cartilage piercing care & pain?

I got my cartilage pierced today, I'm 15. Even the slighest touch or bump makes it sting a little. I got mine done with a pin at a tattoo parlor. I was also told to clean it with sea salt & warm water. How long should I expect to feel pain? If I turn onto it in my sleep, what should I expect to feel the following morning? Thanks!
