I want my bottom lip pierced in the middle, is it really dangerous to do it myself?

I can't go into a professional piercing parlor because my legal guardians are extremely strict about that sort of thing, but they said I could do it myself but have to read up, AND I'm not 18 yet, so I can't legally get it done anywhere near me. But I want it done really bad, my friend did it and it was fine, but I just want to double check if there's any veins or anything that could kill me.. I don't want critisizm or personal opinions, just a straight up answer if it could kill me or not. Thank you!
