Why does Nero Burning ROM 10 only let me burn CDs?

When I go to burn a disc image onto a disc with Nero Burning ROM it only lets me burn onto Cds and not DvDs but what I want to burn requires a DvD because it's size is 1.8GB and my Cds can only take 700MB, PLEASE HELP!
