Best laptop for college student..?

I am a med school student, i have a budget of Rs.90k ($2000 approx).... I will mostly use my laptop for pdf's in college.... but i am a serious gamer ( i play HD games like crysis, WOW, COD black ops, etc)... and use my laptop for movie watchin, for which i expect a large battery life.... So gimme suggestions... I expect a BD-ROM and a HD display if possible.... And is a mac suitable if i am not a gamer and is it worth the money?
