Is Sartrean bad faith avoidable?

I don't know if I completely understand what bad faith is from a philosophical stand point but I think that to a certain extent everyone is playing a role. Not to say that doing so means they are not being there true self because if you are playing a role, you are deciding what role you are willing and unwilling to play which is a part of one's character. Some roles are necessary to survive and others just make living more comfortable. As humans, we must identify ourselves as something. If not, we will feel as though we are nothing and have no purpose or reason for existence.
