How likely is it for the United Kingdom to stay united despite different 'demands' for independence?

There are always going to be a few people in the various regions of the UK who will push for independence, but the fact is, the other regions know they can't go it alone without England. Nor is there any real desire amongst the peoples in these regions for serious independence. They'll accept a limited devolution of some powers to local governments but separation from the UK isn't in the cards.
